Was wondering if anybody has been out trying Taylor this winter since the DNR has opened it for ice fishing for first time since the 60's??? If so how did you do?

I assume like in the summer it is no power anything correct? I figured it would be getting alot of pressure, it is usually a good lake in the summer to catch some trout on, was going to make the trip up there from St Cloud, but maybe not if a guy has to fight the crouds on a small lake like that?

got a buddy that has been out there a few times this winterand says -Lots of pressure, but has caught trouts every time out. Can't snowmobile or use a wheeler, have to walk from the parking lot if you can even drive in that far. I think you can use power augers, just can't drive anything to the lake.

Made it out to North Center today by sunken island. Not very good, one perch. Marking them just not committing. Lots of water on ice, but ice is fine. 17 inches.    As far as north access, off Nelson road on east side there is an access. Put money in the box and don't be a Richard, I believe it is owned by a farmer and let's people use

Lake St Clair is a blast. If you hit vermilion at the right time it will be right up there with that. No reason you can't have a 100 fish day with a good chance at many big fish. Going by my phone pictures I had a great day on June 17 a few years back ha. Theres no shortage of rocky shorelines and docks. I'm a fan of tubes myself but I know guys love their senkos.    I'm sure you'll get some more specific responses. Wish I had more time to chase them myself
