How is the bite on Sunfish Lake?

I plan on taking my little boy (5) and my daughter(3) fishing and was wondering how sunfish lake bite id during the day. thank you.

Quite honestly, that question has been asked several times, but nobody is saying a thing. There was a winter kill there 3-4 years ago and there should be some decent size pannies in there, at least in theory. I plan on hitting it myself either Thursday or Sunday , mainly for some hammer handles for pickling.

I was out two weeks ago. 25 ftw off the beep hole we found crappies. We hade to drill 30+ holes before we found them. They hit all day with a little work. No size to the crappies. 7 inches at best. As far as the northerns I've seen one speared other than that not a tip up all day. There are bigger crappies in there but we couldn't find them..........
