Lake Koronis

5 posts in this topic

I was wondering if anyone goes after perch here. I was spearing there a cuople of weeks ago and seen some nice perch through the spear hole. But havent been able to find any fishing. Did I just see a few freaks or is there a decent population in the lake?

There is a very big pop. of perch in this lake. We always got a lot of them when we fished for walleye.

As stated there is a good population of perch in this lake. If you weed through them some nice ones can be had.

I'm just wondering what the driving conditions are like on Koronis? Meaning is there alot of snow to contend with?

Who wants to fish in the dark, best thing about Vermilion is the ability to catch walleyes during bankers hours.  I would recommend looking into one of the private rentals on the lake (VRBO, etc.), most will have a private dock and offer more privacy.

Hey Bob,   We are coming up this weekend, fishing for the entire day on Saturday the 21st.  Osakis has been on my radar as have a few of the chain lakes, however with it being so long since I have fished in the area, I just wanted to see if there were any other suggestions for a decent multi-species lake or at least one with a chance for having a respectable crappie - walleye combo.   We also have been looking into Mary, Ida, Irene and Oscar.
