Why is the ice from our ice maker always cloudy? Unlike North Star Ice etc. that is mostly clear. The water is filtered and not salted ( h2o softner) is ther a fix for this? HTB

when they freeze their ice they vibrate the water which allows any air bubbles to escape when freezing. If you can, try freezing them really slowly. It should work best as most of our freezers are set right aroudn 0 and the water freezes to fast before the air can escape.

Fill your ice trays with hot water and they will freeze clear.

They will also freeze faster with hot water.

All things being equal, cold water freezes faster. A curious phenomenon known as the Mpemba effect can, under some very specific (and little understood) circumstances, result in hot water freezing faster than cold water. Unfortunately making ice cubes isn't one of those circumstances.
