Larry Dalhberg will be the featured speaker at the banquet fundraiser hosted by the Twin Cities Chapter of Muskies, Inc. Larry's knowledge spans many species all around the world so the event should appeal to everyone who loves fishing. If you have seen Larry’s TV show, The Hunt For Big Fish, you know this event will sell out so please tell your friends to purchase tickets early. The event is open to the public.

The banquet will be held on Friday February 15th, 2008 at the Ft. Snelling Club in Bloomington, MN. The event will start at 6:30pm with a social hour of games, raffles and silent auctions including a guide trip with Lee Tauchen on Mille Lacs. Dinner and our speaker, Larry Dahlberg will begin at 7:30pm. All tickets must be reserved and paid in advance. Tickets can be purchased by mail or on-line with credit card at http://www.twincitiesmuskiesinc.org

This event will help make possible stocking in the metro area. The Twin Cities Chapter has stocked 1,000's of muskies in metro lakes helping to create some very successful fisheries like White Bear and Minnetonka. Your attendance will help the program continue.

Hi Wanderer, I am going up this weekend too.  Glad the weather will be warm! I will try a different pit this time, but had good luck last year.  I hope the fish will be active and hungry.

Lol! Smurfy  Its not as easy to identify areas like the old days the ice towns in Mertens bay and in front of Steils old house on cedar island aren't there like years of past but she's still the same chain that you grew up on. And IMO better than when we wee younger.

@Roscoe010 I wanted to head that way yesterday but my fishing partner didn’t have that kind of time.  If I get there this weekend, I’ll let you know. Or hopefully someone else knows and will reply.

Toying with the idea of heading up there Saturday morning. Only been there a couple times, never on the opener.

Anyone go out on the opener? I usually wait a week before heading up there, so curious to hear some ice/fishing reports.

Did any of you check out the pits for winter trout opener last weekend? Thanks!
