They do yes. But not this time of the year. Most like shiners and fatheads right now.

During the fall and spring you can get them at Froggy's Bait in Cass Lake.

Don't ask PBC... Since he caught that 32" he gave up chasing them and turned pro in the Bass trail.... Just kidding.. PBC nailed it right on the nose... Redtails can be had at the various bait stores in the area during the open water season, but a heads up, they are not cheap....

Grubens did permits the 2016 season. Fortune bay stopped writing BWCA permits the end of the 2015 season. Sally retired and that ended the permits at the bay.  Some day we will be able to buy permits on line and print them.

The video shown in the link posted above shows most of the fish they're handling going back because they're not ready or too green. The video was from 4/14 so I would bet they are done as that was 1 1/2 weeks ago. Cutfoot was done in less than a week. Cliff will be able to tell you for sure when then finished but I'd guess they were done by the end of last week.

I took the boat out for a test run last weekend to a quiet little lake. Water temp was 54. This weather isn't going to help with the water temps.
