fishing seems to be picking up for me with the addition of reel weeds didn't know how they would work but I bought a 5 pack put them off of the back wall of the house and sent down an aqua view and here come the perch and a few walleye. they made a beliver out of me. anyone else have any luck with them?

I've bought a 2 pack so far and have enjoyed them. I can't guarantee they are working 100% but i've done a few "tests". I have tried fishing the same spots with and without them and it seems like I'm holding more fish with them. They DO attract and hold perch! I've also drawn in northerns and other fish I haven't normally caught in some locations. SO YES I THINK THEY ARE WORKING!

they ran 69.00 got them at bluewater and i was out last night and pulled in a 4 pound nothern and missed 2 more fish shortly after both broke my mono leaders so im switching all of them to fireline, both seemed to be bigger than the 4 lb at least they fought harder.

Hey Matt, looks like you are back in town.

Gonna use that aquaview to locate that 15hp of yours that went into the lake? LOL. (I believe you told me about that in Mr. K's photo class)

I was up for my first trip to RR on Wednesday and Thursday. Launched at Birchdale Wednesday morning because it was the only one open. Launched at Vidas on Thursday.  Fished the ice edge as it pushed westward for some of both days with minimal success. Caught a 28.5" and 26.5" on consecutive casts on Wednesday but not much other action at ice edge.  We had our most success at the connection of the Rapid River (just west of Vidas Landing). Caught about 45 walleyes total with a 28" and 26" being the biggest from that spot.  We also hooked up with 15 sturgeon, landing 4 of them. A 66", 60" and finished the trip landing two sturgeon in the same net (a 42" and 32", or so).  It was an amazing experience and I will be back again in the upcoming years!
