JAN. 20TH FISHING REPORT

3 posts in this topic

HI F.M.ERS,

FISHED RAINY TODAY IN 40 FOOT OF WATER, STARTED ABOUT 9 A.M. USED A DOUBLE BURNER SUNFLOWER THE WHOLE DAY. STARTED WITH A JIG AND MINNOW & A BUCKSHOT RATTLER TIPPED WITH A MINNOW HEAD, SAW ALOT OF FISH, BUT THEY WOULD NOT TOUCH EITHER SETUP. DECIDED TO TRY A PLAIN HOOK, AS IN THE PAST WHEN IT GETS BRUTALLY COLD, THIS SIMPLE SETUP CAN WORK. I PUT A BIG SHINNER ON ONE AND SMALL SHINNER ON THE OTHER. ENDED UP KEEPING 3 BIG PERCH, 3 BIG SAUGERS & 2 NICE WALLEYES & RELEASED SOME SMALLER FISH & A BOUBOT. FISHING WASN'T FAST BUT HEY WHEN ITS 40 BELOW, IT WAS A GOOD DAY & BEAT BEING A COUCH POTATO AT HOME.

SINCERELY,

FISHMEISTER
