Bear Island is a funny lake. There are good fish populations in there, but they spend a lot of time pretty closed mouthed. There is talk of a native smelt population and that might be part of the problem. There is plenty of room, lots of structure and good deep water. I have done really well there for all the species you asked about. However, besides getting the latest info from the resort owner, plan on searching a lot. What part of the summer do you plan on fishing there? With that info I can steer you towards a couple of spots to start with.
