GULL LAKE??

6 posts in this topic

Hey guys, I'm headin' up to Gull in a few hours for a week. Will I be able to drive my 1/2 ton on the lake. Sounds like it's going to be so cold that my wheeler most likely won't start.

Thanks in advance

Kevin

I have been driving my 1/2 ton out, people are driving all over close to shore and the first breakers, the spot I fish is about 3/4 mile off shore and there is plenty of ice...still use caution though and drive slow, you should be ok

I am pretty sure you will be able to go where you want. The only limitations will be any ice heaves that develop. The lake has about 18-20 inches right now maybe more. It is making ice quick lately.

There was random ice sheets all over the lake this morning.   Should be ice covered 100% barring it being to windy.   By Friday at the latest.   Could be ice fishing next week in certain areas.   Don

Was up this past weekend, everything is still open. Should lock up this week though looking at the chilly forecast.

nice that his equipment still sees action.

An older gentleman I know gave me his ice fishing gear last year knowing he wasn't able to use it anymore due to health.  Really tore him up, as I'm sure it would for all of us.  Cleaned up the tipups real nice, and took this photo of one on Leech to send to him knowing they were in good hands and more importantly continue to catch fish!   I'm not in St.Cloud, nor want in for the contest just thought I'd share
