I think Pelini's gonna turn 'em around. If he can effectively use the talent he has, I can see an 8-4, maybe 9-3 season. We'll know a lot more after the Virginia Tech game. Then we can start putting these upstart Big 12 North teams back in their places.

Do you go to Senser's on Saturdays during the season?

I have never been there, dont have a clue where it is. But i believe your right, there going to get back to husker football, and there going to run for the title in a few years. They will be back.

Kinda feel bad for the Nebraska people. All they have to look forward to is the Husker football.

If I lived in Nebraska I think I would be forced to join the "Children of the Corn."

Kinda like everyone in Wisconsin must drink beer and wear cheese duct taped around their heads from birth on.

I've never been so pumped for the annual Red & White game. I can't wait to see some Husker DBs and LBs start to HIT again. I watched the '96 Fiesta Bowl again the other night, and although the offense put on a heck of a show (seriously, 62 points against Florida?), the defense got them to that game and won the championship. Now that Cosgrove is gone, we might start to see that again.

I can't wait.

then I will need to buy the bigger dewalt batteries. they look spendy.  I have 7 ryobi batteries now. 2 are the 4 amp.    600 pounds should be plenty  from what all are saying. I can take the 2 , 4 amps back and grab the dewalt. hmmmmmm, decisions desicions. lol

Making sure all equipment is in working order is one thing I always try to take care of before taking my first trip of the season. Nothing is quite as frustrating as a flasher with a dead battery or an auger that wont start.  I have always been a big believer having the proper equipment with to stay safe come first ice.... These items include a spud bar to check ice thickness, a section of rope,  a life jacket and a set of ice picks. Having a second person with is also a smart move when the ice is thin. Talking to those "in the know" about local bodies of water and current ice conditions is also a good thing to do.  Remember, first ice is usally not a consistant thickness, so use caution...and trust your gut...if something feels not right, it usally isn't. Good luck and stay safe, my friends :-)
