Saturday fishing report

2 posts in this topic

Started off early with 4 avid fishing buddies at nine on lake Emma. Headed over to the south shore line and found 13ft of water. Spread out and all of use drilled holes. By the third hole i had fish on the vex. wax on and bam fish on. need less to say we had are limit of sunnies in about 1 hour popping hole from hole. and then set up in 8-10 for some northerns. only managed 3 of em for 3 hours of tip up fishing, but what a rush. Any where from 3-5lb range. Then if anyone knows the lake u can access lake ann through the creek on th far west side. Headed over there to set up for the evening bight and tip up. got set up on the east side hump. only 8ft and drops to 14-17ft range. set up one tip up only 5 ft off of the ice in 17ft of nothing and when was walking away flag was up and running hard. 27" northern. got settled in on a 12ft drop off. marked fish. finaly got some lil perch to bite. around 4 switched to crappies. not nothing huge but 8-10 inch range. 4 guys and for the day total of 80 sun fish, 25 crappies, 7 walleyes and 4 northerns. Cant express it enough if you want fish STAY MOBILE AND HAVE IOTHER HOLES DRILLED AND READY TO FISH IN. what a day. Hope others share the same info as this is a awesome sight to look at and use.

Nice thats what I like to hear, was doing an annual trip to LOW with my buddies, but to be quite honest biggest fish I ever saw in 10 plus trips was 27 inches, I caught 3 bigger than that on the pond last year, and hey I can stay in Wright county where I live and catch 10 inch walleyes.. I don't make it up to that end of the lake ever, usually fish the south end..Bought a wheel house this year, would loke to set it up as base camp and hopefully be able to head up toward that end and do some exploring..And thanks for the input, thinking there is a lot of readers and not many writers on this site nowadays...

Lake Marion is completely iced over. Hopefully we won't get much snow and be fishing soon.

Silver lake in New Brighton is iced over. I'm going to count one week before checking thickness on my early ice spots. Could be fishing next Friday if all goes well.
