This is a great circuit to fish. I've done it for 3 years now and continue to learn more every year. I would suggest signing up early to get your spot saved as it typically fills fast.

I am possibly looking for a partner to fish all four tournaments. I have equipment including a 1890 Lund Pro V, (if you have your own poles a plus) if interested shot me an e-mail @ dorothylindberg@comcast.net

Contact Jim Miller, Tournament Director, I think he has said in the past that a few people contact him looking for partners.

Did they have all 75 teams in 2007?

I believe there was around 68-70 teams that fished all 4 events last year. The previous 2 years I fished they were full with 75 touring teams fishing all 4 events.

I can't do the entire tour, but I would love to compete in the West Battle event if someone's looking for a partner (if there are openings) or needs a substitute for that event.

Snuffy's Landing area on the Mississippi just North of Becker has always be good. Otherwise the Elk river hold some nice ones.

My trophy would be the walleye, mainly because it is what I target but I have to admit hooking a 21" small mouth would be a fun battle.

So I saw this question posed elsewhere, and thought it was a fun one to get people talking as we wait for open water season.   Which trophy fish do you have on Vermilion?  Which do you want the most?  And why?   A- 30" Walleye B- 21" Smallie C- 40" Pike D- 50" Muskie   My goal is a 21"+ smallie.  I got a 20.5" last summer, which is 1/2" shy of Master Angler quality in Minnesota.  Why?  Because I can't get so close and not ultimately achieve the goal.  The 21" smallie on Vermilion is now my white whale.
