Just got back from another successful fishing trip with you guys and really appreciate all the hard work you guys put into keeping the houses on fish. It was a tough bite this weekend for us but we managed a few meals of fish and along with nice houses that makes for a good fishing trip to me. Thanks again. Hopefully we'll see you guys again soon.

Mike

Yes that area slowed down fast. I think steeplechaser and moose99 caught them all. grin.gif The people in your house after you did pick up 6 crappies this morning but we moved the house anyway. One of the houses we moved past you showed some promise so we pulled anchor and moved everything to new ice today.

I have caught them on Vermilion when the mayflies are hatching in the evening by using a fly rod with small poppers or may fly type dry flies. Just cast to the surfacing fish. A spinning rod with an Adjusta Float with poppers or flies may work even better. Cliff

I have also wondered why there are no Sauger in Vermilion. I have never caught one there or heard of one being caught by anyone else. Cliff

Thanks for the report MNfan.  Too bad fishing wasn't better for you. Good weather at least. Nice to get out this time of year.
