Taylors Falls

This may seem lile an idiotic quesiton but since everyone knows I am an IDIOT already I will ask it anyway: "Does anyone ever fish the river north ot Taylors Falls or is the current too fast up there." I know they fish it in the summer, I was just wondering if they ice fish that part of the river?

I've never been icing above the dam but maybe this might be the year for me to try.

I've done it, but it is not something to take lightly. Bring a buddy and all the usual first ice stuff (ropes, picks, life jacket etc...)

Took me years tring to convince buddies to go ice fishing on dead water...I mentioned river ice, and they all said, "NO WAY! U CRAZY?" I said, no...just be prepared. Yeah, I'll have to scout it out.
