Ice thickness on Frances

3 posts in this topic

I was out there a week ago found anywhere from 11" to 13" has this changed any in the last week? Hoping to see a couple more inches thinking of putting my house out there I know there were alot of perms out last week but I like a little more ice under me when pulling out my perm house.

The lakes took a beating and I was not out on Sunday to see the damage. Saturday I saw the first 4 to 5 inches turn soft. Be careful and check the ice conditions

Sometimes you need em that size.      You guys did push me over the edge so I had to go out Sunday afternoon.  Thanks for that.

I was going to try to go tomorrow (walking out in metro) despite the rain which appears to be light and I have a portable. Are you concerned about the ice conditions deteriorating throughout the day?  Or just for the rest of the week?
