Let's be serious. This forum, or any other forum on FM, will not tolerate such a discussion. If you know of people taking part in illegal activities, turn them in because it will not be promoted, discussed or anything else here. Thank you.

Illegal activities are a real issue but the "in's" and "out's" of such a discussion will not be carried on here. Save that stuff for either your local CO officer, the fish house or the breakfast table. Thanks.

I would rather have people catch muskies on french in the winter time then in the summer when its 90 outside and the pea soup water is boiling. I have a cabin on french and i cant believe how many dead muskies i see when I am cleaning up my shorline. I think they should close the season out there during july and august and just keep it open in the winter. But thats just what I think

At least10% of all eggs hatched at the Pike River Hatchery are returned to Vermilion waters every year. According to DNR statistics that percentage is usually a much higher survival rate then if they had let the walleyes spawn naturally! I consider that a good trade off! Cliff

They should not be  going  back to area waters or traded to  other dnr  districts they should go right back into LAKE VERMILLION !!!  Don't ya think its time the dnr   should start to listen  to the paying public, us ! [trappers, hunters,  fisherpeople ,boaters and snowmobilers ]

Yes, they are all done at the hatchery. Finished up two weeks ago this Saturday (4/15). Just waiting for eggs to ripen and hatch to go back out to area water bodies.

Can not say for sure, but there is parking outside of the park next to the boat ramp and also a turn a round road.
