went out to duck lake in madison lake yesterday and measured about 15-16" of ice in the holes i drilled and seen 6-8 trucks out there and was thinking of putting my wheel house out there tomorrow and was just wondering if theirs any springs or bad spots to watch out for

There can be thin spots on that lake. It was one of the last to freeze over this year. I guess I would just take some time and if you are not sure, drill ahead of the vehicle to check the ice depth so you don't go swimming.

Do be careful on driving on Duck. I have found the North end to be covered with snow and slush and there are spots that have less than seven inches of 'good' ice.

While there are full size trucks driving on the South end of Duck do not assume the entire lake is safe.

Merry Christmas !
