Otter 1 (old style) sled canvas?

2 posts in this topic

A friend of mine gave me his Otter sled and it is the old original style. I've already got an older Otter sled with the purple canvas and I've really enjoyed using it these many years. I'd like to get another original otter skin canvas so I could use this other sled when my dad goes with me. The sled is in great shape and has hardly been used.

Any ideas? I've tried calling Otter, but they couldn't help. Looked on Ebay with no luck either.

Canvas crafts in Ramsey and Rogers. They are a sponsor of this site.

Sorry, for some reason, the URL link command is down. If you go to www.canvascraftsinc.com, you will find out more.

I go to the Ramsey location and have been talking with Eric. Tell them you heard of them off of FM. cool.gif

They made the original Otterskin for the Otter sleds, before Otter started making them. they are pretty well priced as well.

Wow that is a little discouraging. Looked at the DNR lake info for the last survey which was done on Big Trout lake in 2011. Not one Laker was caught in any of the test net types! Still shows their stocking them but none showed up. Anyone try it on opener and find any Lakers?

Anyone go out there last weekend for opener? If so how was the ice and the bite? Giving this weekend a thought?

I personally like the cold and dont mind it. But this week is a nice change and prob wont help the ice building much!

I remembered I wrote this question. So I'm replying back. I was lucky enough to have a relative who had a Smith and Wesson Model 66-2 .357 mag (mint condition) that he was willing to part with. I haven't shot it yet. Been busy. Anyway now what recommendations are out there for 38 shells for plinking. I've read about the problems if using to heavy a load. Thanks
