2006 chip vs 2007

Has anyone seen a difference between the two? I have the 2006 chip.

I assume you mean the Lakemaster chip? There were plenty of new lakes added to the 2007 chip, and the roads on the basemap were also added. I had both chips and the 2007 chip was way better, hands down.

Did you notice any additional detail on the maps that were already on it?

just the maps that were re-done. You'll have to search back to last year, but "schweady" had a huge post that highlited all of the differences between the two posts. Just buy the 2007 chip, you won't regret it. It's not like you can't sell your 2006 chip.
