Which resorts are letting wheeled houses go on?

3 posts in this topic

I am thinking of going to LOW on Christmas day, would like to spend 4 or 5 days on the ice. Will be heading out from the Range and pulling the wheeled house with a 4Runner. Any info on which resort would be the best place to get on the ice? What is best bet for bait, shiners etc? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, and have a great day!

I crossed over to the dark side of smallies about 15 years ago. Mostly chase pannies in winter but used to chase eyes a few times on the hard water each season.   I could post a ton of pics if you need more proof.

Sorry to make you hold up a bottom feeder, but we needed to see it!

I was up over the weekend and my shoreline was getting pretty sketchy.  Had a pocket of open water down the shore about a 100 yards. Where I could see the bottom in two to three feet of water.  Walked out about a hundred yards and popped four holes Saturday afternoon. There was 17- 18.5"s of ice in those four holes. Looking at the forecast I can't see the ice sticking around too much longer.  The holes I popped had 5-6" of pretty mushy cloudy stuff on top and about 12"s of pretty solid stuff underneath it.
