Hey ya been on my lake? I was out once last Mon?? lookin for pannies 3 eyes 2 crapies 2 hours.A kid I took out last summer tried my spots,nailed eyes & crapies.So I guess if ya wanted a meal it sounds good.100-150 yds off shore straight east of your spring fishin.7-10 fow.

hey sparce thanks for the info. I seen all the guys fishing and the millions more moving in. I did find the sunnies but I don't wnat to say where on here. I'll have to get out there with yu this winter.

      I have read that mercury levels are a reason there is no commercial harvest on vermilion. But it was probably the same thing you read as I have not found a second source of that. There is commercial harvest of rustys on other Minnesota lakes so there must be a reason it's not done here.    For or what it's worth, the DNR has suggestions on how much fish to eat because of mercury.
