Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

1998 Ranger 17ft bass boat. It was involved in an accident, motor has been removed, trailer is not in good shape at all but boat has no major damage except cosmetic, hull is good.

It has a Lowrance sonar, livewells, rod lockers, etc.

It's a great project for this winter. It's rated 130hp max, and if you want I have an older Johnson 120hp from the '80s I can let go cheap.

You will have to straighten trailer or getter a new one, but it is NOT towable.

Price at $ 1300 or best offer. Email me for pictures.

Damage to hull is just scrapes and small gouges, nothing serious.

Trailer goes in the scrap pile, there's nothing good, not even the rims, well maybe the winch, but the strap was cut.

Pics sent.

Boat model is a R71 Sport

I just want everybody to know this is not a jewel boat, it has scratches, dings etc, but it's a solid hull, if you want a fast and comfortable boat to fish from and want to save some money doing a little work, this is a great deal, after all it's a Ranger. You can have trailer if you want but it will be a nuisance to haul, in my opinion.

Very interested. Could you send me pics of the damage & the older 120 hp motor you have? How much for the 120 hp? Where Are you located? I am guessing I would need another trailer to get her home? robertkarlgaard@hotmail.com

Are fuses necessary on an on board charger?  Manual chargers do not have them,  is there a reason for them on the on board charges. I was given a system with a bank that may not have been working correctly, possibly blowing the fuse repeatedly.  My system would not be hooked up to an alternator on the engine so I'm wondering if it is fine to use the charging bank without the fuses.  The orange charging light comes on when I hook the wires directly up to a battery. I'm asking because I don't want to go through the bother of wiring this thing in my boat if I can't get it to work right. Also, I would technically only need 2 of the 3 banks to work, but I like the idea of repairing it to its potential.

Looking to get on some walleye and crappie this week, looks like mayflies were out in full force last night when I was on the lake. First year fishing this lake, where does a guy start?

Picked up some nice crappie and a couple eater walleyes on Allouez Bay the other day before the rains. Trolled crawlers with one light split shot and others with bottom bouncers. I was surprised at how big the crappie were

ripped out some old boards that were well past their prime on my boat.  Any recomendations on what to replace them with?  They looked to be treated plywood but wondering if getting something different would work better.  Such as a piece of 1 x 12 pine and throwing a few coats of polyurethane on it as well?  The boards I am talking about are for the benches.   Also, replacing the seats in there as well.  Previous i had the the vinyl foam seats.  When shopping around i am seeing a lot of the molded plastics chairs.  Any preference out there for durability?  Vinyl rips but wondering if the molded crack or break?   Thanks for any feed back!

The flocks of geese are now flying over my house in the morning and evening, but when this happens Finn gets all jacked up. Like right now he is nudging me and running pawing at the window. A few minutes earlier when the first gaggle few over I was going to change the laundry and Finn raced down and sat by gun safe  whining.  Fishing reports have been great for crappies on the area lakes. Walleyes are not biting as well in lakes but when the rum is clearer that is the place to be. Bears any no quota hunters this might be your year to get a bear around here.  Deer seem to every where drive carefull.  Seeing some ducks flying around.  I have seen a few grouse and pheasants.
