Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Those Bunny Boots are awesome.

I have a buddy that was thinking about them until I told them what they were called. I guess he is too much of a MANLY Man to wear Bunny Boots. wink.gif

The only thing I don;t like about them is my own bull-headedness. I read the tag that came with it and it said to wear a high sock over the top of the boot and wrap it over. I sure didn't need to do that -- that sounded dumb.

Wrong.

The first day I wore them I ripped up my lower calves. By that can really sting. I have been "combating" that this whole season. I wear the socks wrapped around, but the scraped up area is hard to heal.

Other than that they are AMAZING!!!!!!

Hey -- do you sweat in your boots? I was thinking about wearing a wicking liner?

hitman, wearing a liner sock underneath a breathable sock is always a good move to keeping feet dry. Wet feet don't stay warm very well...

Anyone on here been out on White Bear yet? I've seen a few people out off the Ramsey Beach area where the truck went through the other day but have not had a chance to venture out myself. Normally I hit the Belaire area early ice. Thanks!

wealthwood had1.5 last weekend, i saw no one out but 1 person on the whole west side last wsat afternoon. thi week the resorts on the north end and east are reporting decent ice. check with the resorts before you go out. id stay away from public accesses now and follow a staked road.

Have you fished out there before? Is it worth putting some time in on the ice? Thanks-

Dude, seriously just stay off the ice until its safer.  No fish is worth risking your life for.

Ice is scary on blue. I was out last weekend fishing next to open water north end is kinda sketchy still my buddy has been there every day this week. Still cant get close to the points only 1 inch there. Thicker by north end but its all older ice from the first freeze lots of cracks. The bay to the east towards the points and whole south end were wide open last sunday. Had 4 inches right next to it we fished as close to the point as we could get. We were 40-50 ft from open water and we got one eye. But ive never been so scared on ice before it was cracking very badly very loud and could feel the ice shifting. The walk back to access in the dark had my heart pounding and i didnt tjink we would make it back without one uf us goin through but we did make it.
