Ok ... So there were a couple of clowns that drove their full size dodge and ford trucks on the ice on Pelican lake.

R U guys crazy? --

There is 8-10 inches with a lot of questionable spots.

I guess that is a great example of natural selection. smirk.gif

Ya some people must not care if they live or die just to be lazy, my life isn`t worth much but it`s worth more than fishing with my truck on the lake with me.

I Agree also, You guys driving on pelican are crazy!

We drilled 5-6 holes out there and never got more than 8 inches. We just sat there and watched you guys, taking bets on who was going in first. Be smart and wait a couple of weeks, your endangering everyone out there.

LBZ --

You are correct. They are putting others in danger as well. Use your heads for something other than a hat rack.

Snuffy's Landing area on the Mississippi just North of Becker has always be good. Otherwise the Elk river hold some nice ones.

My trophy would be the walleye, mainly because it is what I target but I have to admit hooking a 21" small mouth would be a fun battle.

So I saw this question posed elsewhere, and thought it was a fun one to get people talking as we wait for open water season.   Which trophy fish do you have on Vermilion?  Which do you want the most?  And why?   A- 30" Walleye B- 21" Smallie C- 40" Pike D- 50" Muskie   My goal is a 21"+ smallie.  I got a 20.5" last summer, which is 1/2" shy of Master Angler quality in Minnesota.  Why?  Because I can't get so close and not ultimately achieve the goal.  The 21" smallie on Vermilion is now my white whale.
