The ice is in decent shape. We were ablr to drive a wheeler from the access to the north end of Coke's island. Fishing could have been better but I'm sure the cold weather had something to do with it. Hope this helps.

i was wondering if anyone has been back out on the north end

of Mantrap and if a 4 wheeler traffic would be ok. Plan on coming up the week of christmas and would like to bring the kids. Any info would be appreciated.

Southwest..Just got back from the area however I did not make it to Big Mantrap. I was on Fishook which had 15 inches of ice with some small vehicels on it. I was also out on 6th Crow Wing. There was about a foot of ice. Fishing was slow. There was about 1 or 2 inches of fresh snow when I left this morning.

Made it out to North Center today by sunken island. Not very good, one perch. Marking them just not committing. Lots of water on ice, but ice is fine. 17 inches.    As far as north access, off Nelson road on east side there is an access. Put money in the box and don't be a Richard, I believe it is owned by a farmer and let's people use

Lake St Clair is a blast. If you hit vermilion at the right time it will be right up there with that. No reason you can't have a 100 fish day with a good chance at many big fish. Going by my phone pictures I had a great day on June 17 a few years back ha. Theres no shortage of rocky shorelines and docks. I'm a fan of tubes myself but I know guys love their senkos.    I'm sure you'll get some more specific responses. Wish I had more time to chase them myself
