Well, the Vikes managed not to lose more so than they won the game.

Ah well, at least it went in the "W" column and that's a good thing.

A win is a win, and when it is in your own division wins arent gaurenteed! They looked awful and still won, somehow. Hopefully it was just an off game for T-Jack.

I havent heard how is Jackson and Rice? Is it anything serious?

How many offensive penalties can you have and still win? The bears may find out tonight.

Here is a question, how can you be -3 or -4 in the takeaway ratio and still win? Answer: Play the Bears!!!!

Sorry guys,

I was at our companies end of the year meeting Mon and Tues and was no where near a computer.

So Fixer, "choking on crow"? Please use your limited mental resources and check back on this thread and try to find out where I was saying the Bears would win? You see, my mentally challenged friend, in order for one to "choke on crow", one would have had to "crow" in the first place, err go allowing one to choke on said crow. One down.

Lawdog: Nice prediction, 25 point Queen victory only fell 18 points short. Guess you did not have enough testicular fortitude to back up your bold prediction with an avatar bet eh?, my little friend from the north. Two down.

Talk to me when your Queens seal the deal and win the big one. And that means The Super Bowl. Thought I would mention that since NONE of you have ever had the pleasure of witnessing that feat! All done!

I would ask again to you. Should we all by Brady, Romo and Farve jerseys and just talk about them? Should we only talk about the good teams or the teams we are fans of?

Two more questions for you:

If this is a waste, why are you reading this thread?

Didn't you just post a couple of responses discussing the Vikes in some other threads? I thought they weren't worth our time.

Fishy,

Don't be hanging that quote on me! I didn't say that, might have been somebody else. I was just ringing in since it seems that all the Queens fans missed me and were wondering where I was after the game. I was workin man! No computer in site.

Nope,

Just working. Was pretty cool though, we had a casino night and auction and I won a PS2 plus some restaurant gift certificates and about $100 cash in Texas Hold Em, plus I did not have the pleasure of watching the Monday Night game! LOL

I looked back and found where YOU used the word "IF". and then I admitted it, calling it MY bad.(I guess my Ma and Pa taught me to admit when I was wrong, instead of teaching me all those big city words) Judging you from your previous posts, I thought you could have figured that out with that big brain of yours. grin.gif

Dear Mr. Boatfixer,

I have been asked to apologize to you by Mr. Windy. He is much too busy making money to do so himself. He does ask for your forgiveness, his mind was much too occupied with financial matters here in Chicago but now realizes where the confusion occurred.

Thank you and have a wonderful holiday.

So DTE,

Was I getting 20.5 points or giving them??? LOL

I guess it does not matter!!!

Here it comes, Geno knows what is coming, it is Christmas and we are all watching Christmas Vacation with Clark and Cousin Eddie and you know what Cousin Eddie is going to say, RIGHT GENO?? HERE IT COMES...........

I Ain't seen a beating like that since they stuck a banana down my pants and turned a Monkey Loose!!!!

Oh and by the by DTE, here is the link for my avatar choice

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r122/guddj/2a6o77m.gif

Ah it will be a Merry Christmas here in the Windy. Those poor Pack fans have to live with the humiliation of getting swept by the pitiful Bears and have to worry about getting humiliated by the Cowboys IN DALLAS if they even get to that game. I think their record is 0-9 in Dallas.

OK DTE, I done my crowing now pay up with my Christmas present....It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like an Orange and Blue Christmas, every where you go!

You know I was beginning to wonder who was giving the points as well. Fortunately, I only had to watch the first half as we had to do some Holiday traveling in the blizzard. You know Lovie's goal when he got hired was to beat the Green Bay Packers. At least he got that accomplished twice this year.

All right DTE,

You took your medicine like a man and yes you are correct, Lovie's goal this year was to beat the Pack both times, I guess he can live with that. You guys get to play at least one more game than the Bears but if you don't get your act together it might be one and done!

Throw up that lovely avatar for a week and we will be all squared away. Have a Merry Christmas man!

With the early ice out, how is the curlyleaf pondweed doing?

On the south end...   The big basin, otherwise known as Big Traverse Bay, is ice free.  Zippel Bay and Four Mile Bay are ice free as well.  Everything is shaping up nicely for the MN Fishing Opener on May 11th. With the walleye / sauger season currently closed, most anglers are targeting sturgeon and pike.  Some sturgeon anglers are fishing at the mouth of the Rainy River, but most sturgeon are targeted in Four Mile Bay or the Rainy River.  Hence, pike are the targeted species on the south shore and various bays currently.   Pike fishing this time of year is a unique opportunity, as LOW is border water with Canada, the pike season is open year round. The limit is 3 pike per day with one being able to be more than 40 inches. All fish 30 - 40 inches must be released. Back bays hold pike as they go through the various stages of the spawn.  Deadbait under a bobber, spinners, spoons and shallow diving crankbaits are all viable options.   Four Mile Bay, Bostic Bay and Zippel Bay are all small water and boats of various sizes work well. On the Rainy River...  Great news this week as we learned sturgeon will not be placed on the endangered species list by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.     The organization had to make a decision by June 30 and listing sturgeon could have ended sturgeon fishing.  Thankfully, after looking at the many success stories across the nation, including LOW and the Rainy River, sturgeon fishing and successful sturgeon management continues.   A good week sturgeon fishing on the Rainy River.  Speaking to some sturgeon aficionados, fishing will actually get even better as water temps rise.     Four Mile Bay at the mouth of the Rainy River near the Wheeler's Point Boat Ramp is still producing good numbers of fish, as are various holes along the 42 miles of navigable Rainy River from the mouth to Birchdale.   The sturgeon season continues through May 15th and resumes again July 1st.   Oct 1 - April 23, Catch and Release April 24 - May 7, Harvest Season May 8 - May 15, Catch and Release May 16 - June 30, Sturgeon Fishing Closed July 1 - Sep 30, Harvest Season If you fish during the sturgeon harvest season and you want to keep a sturgeon, you must purchase a sturgeon tag for $5 prior to fishing.    One sturgeon per calendar year (45 - 50" inclusive, or over 75"). Most sturgeon anglers are either a glob of crawlers or a combo of crawlers and frozen emerald shiners on a sturgeon rig, which is an 18" leader with a 4/0 circle hook combined with a no roll sinker.  Local bait shops have all of the gear and bait. Up at the NW Angle...  A few spots with rotten ice, but as a rule, most of the Angle is showing off open water.  In these parts, most are looking ahead to the MN Fishing Opener.  Based on late ice fishing success, it should be a good one.

Nice fish. I moved to the Sartell area last summer and just thought it was windy like this everyday up here? 🤭

Crazy windy again today.... This is has been the norm this spring. Between the wind and the cold fronts, fishing has been more challenging for me than most years.  Panfish have been moving in and out of the shallows quite a bit. One day they are up in the slop, the next they are out relating to cabbage or the newly sprouting lilly pads.  Today eye guy and I found them in 4-5 ft of water, hanging close to any tree branches that happened to be laying in the water.  Bigger fish were liking a 1/32 head and a Bobby Garland baby shad.   Highlight of the day way this healthy 15incher
