just wondering how the west side of the lake is freezing up? andy help would be great. mainly around the garrison area.....

walked OUT TO 12 FOW. 6" OF ICE BUT WHEN YOU DRILL A HOLE YOU GET 4" OF WATER COMMING UP ON THE ICE, SO BRING WATER PROOF BOOTS.

when do you think they will start putting houses out there because wasnt there no ice over there when we got the snow?

      I was up over the weekend and my shoreline was getting pretty sketchy.  Had a pocket of open water down the shore about a 100 yards. Where I could see the bottom in two to three feet of water.  Walked out about a hundred yards and popped four holes Saturday afternoon. There was 17- 18.5"s of ice in those four holes. Looking at the forecast I can't see the ice sticking around too much longer.  The holes I popped had 5-6" of pretty mushy cloudy stuff on top and about 12"s of pretty solid stuff underneath it.
