Permanents are out

4 posts in this topic

The first permanent house showed up on Washington overnight. There have been ATV's on the lake for a couple of days now, but a hardside might be pushing it a bit. Be careful people, Mud bay has quite a bit of ice, but there are other spots that I have checked that are only 4 inches or so.

Amen to that. I was on Madison a good portion of the day today and found 2 - 3" in several areas. Kinda like tip-toeing through the tulips. smirk.gif

Yup, I was out on Washington for a while this afternoon. When I headed out, I realized that the permanent belongs to a friend of mine so I stopped in. I noticed something quite disturbing as I approached his house. Tire tracks! They weren't from his ATV either. Turns out they were from his Explorer (yup, the Ford kind) that he used to pull the house out with last night. Just plain nuts!!! tongue.giftongue.gif

      make / manufacturer: Eskimo
model name / number: Mako Upgraded to an electric auger and selling my old one. Runs great and has been well taken care of. Starts on 2-3 pulls every time. I have the extension for it as well as a new set of blades that I bought but haven't needed to change yet. I also have a cabelas auger bag that it fits in.

I scored a set of Striker Hardwaters for 25% off   bibs+coat. I fish early ice alone, decided to pull the trigger on a warm suit that can float if I end up breaking thru.  That crowd was insane. Happy to see the big turnout. All of the TV dudes were roaming around too, talking with ppl and taking pics. Had a great time and I'm happy to see how big the ice fishing community is getting. Just stay away from my holes!!!     jk. Looks like we could be gaining up to an inch of ice/day in metro lakes if this forecast holds.
