Ice House Rentals?

6 posts in this topic

I was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction for where I could find a good sized ice house to rent for a weekend. I have some friends coming on the second weekend of January and we realized that the only thing we really have are a few two-man setups. We'd like to try fit everyone in the same house if we could, or maybe even fit everyone in two houses. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I ditto the request for information about resorts that offer ice houses. Would like a place to bring my son up for some cold indoctrination right after Christmas. Thanks. Mike

I asked the same question on October 17th and got zero results. Must not be anyone that does this around Park Rapids.

You're right, there isn't anyone up here who does it. It's a pretty tricky endeavor in this area since there are so many lakes with the majority falling under 1,000 acres.

Even if the road was plowed out new years. Just wanna check to see how things at the cabin are? Could walk in I guess!

I took my kids for a monticello outing yesterday, but my boy spiked a fever on the way so I had to abort mission.  Tried a little shorefishing at home this afternoon in Brooklyn Park. I tried spoons, jerkbaits and ringworms. No action.

Heading to Grand rapids on Wed. Any chance a guy can drive back in the woods with a car??

Palmer lake is good for sunfish (and it's kind of a pond), but it's been getting hammered this winter. I'm worried about the pressure it's been getting. I wouldn't mention it here, but word is clearly out already. There are a lot of great options to try around Eagan. That's where I do most of my pond fishing.  I live in Brooklyn Park now and have had a tough time finding good fishing in ponds/little lakes up this way. Might have to give the clay hole a try
