I guess it depends on how much it has been used, but more importantly the price they're asking....It's a good auger with a powerful Tecumseh.....I'm a Strikemaster guy!

i like strikemaster too. i have the 8" model good one. i had to down grade to a lazer hand for weight try to pull a sled with alot of gear. so i made it little lite and very easy to pull along. oh btw did u see the newest models out yet no more mixing oil and gas the 4 stroke engine they r cool. they recommed do not use e-85 u will blow the motor.

Give the crew at Reel Fishing and Tackle a call. They have great deals on re-conditioned Strike Master augers that come with a full warranty.

      Great stuff guys

The lakes took a beating and I was not out on Sunday to see the damage. Saturday I saw the first 4 to 5 inches turn soft. Be careful and check the ice conditions

Sometimes you need em that size.      You guys did push me over the edge so I had to go out Sunday afternoon.  Thanks for that.

I was going to try to go tomorrow (walking out in metro) despite the rain which appears to be light and I have a portable. Are you concerned about the ice conditions deteriorating throughout the day?  Or just for the rest of the week?
