Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Noisy 11 yr. old Strikemaster Lazer.......

Recommended Posts

I went to the garage today, and fired up my 12 year old, first generation Strikemaster Lazer powerauger. It is a 2 hp model. When I throttle up to full throttle, I am hearing a screeching noise coming from what appears to be the gear box underneath the powerhead. Is this a very bad indication of things, or can it be easily fixed? This is a 1st generation Lazer for those that are much more versed in 2 cycle engines/augers etc.If a new auger is in the cards, like a Nils,I won't be too heartbroken by a bad report on the Lazer. laugh.gif

Sounds like you have a bushing/bearing that is going out. It would require taking the gearbox apart to find the faulty part and replace it. If you are not too far from Big Lake I would recommend taking it by the factory and let them have a go at it. It would be a lot cheaper. It would be worth getting it fixed. Even if you are looking into a new auger, if you get it fixed you should be able to trade it in and get more money towards your new one. grin.gif

I am about a 10 minute drive from Strikemaster, so I will go over there on my next day off.I was planning on doing this anyway, but I figured folks such as yourself could give me a better idea as to what I may be looking at.Thanks for the reply/info.That new Strike-lite looks like a possible choice, as well, for a new auger, if I need a replacement. grin.gif

Big DS, you were right on with your diagnosis of the problem.I took it to Strikemaster right after work today, and the tech replaced a bushing in the gear box housing at no charge to me.You gotta love Strikemaster for their top notch customer service. He said my auger is almost as good as new,and runs just fine.

Good to hear you were able to get it fixed. Strikemaster always gets an A+ on customer service. It is worth the drive even if you need to go an hour to get there IMO.
