jurban,

You might want to rethink that plan. We just pulled our two groups off of the lake as it is dangerous out there. One of the groups was fishing out of Garrison and had a lot of trouble getting there boat in and out of there with the wind and the waves. Most of the protected bays have iced up and are currently not an option for launching.

I had a trip recently with a group of friends and was quite surprised by something. Has it become the norm for outfitters to charge people who are renting shacks from them a road access fee? I have stayed at many different places and this has never happened before. I am not against road access fees as I know several outfitters and I know how hard they work and gladly pay this fee if I am using my wheelhouse or just going out with my portable. If this has become the norm I wish we had been told this in advance.

We got out the weekend of the 11th and filmed a YouTube video from around the area.  My buddy Trapper was gracious enough to put a few clips of me within since I'm usually the cameraman for him.  We landed 27 this day and since we've caught a lot less but we've gotten a few big ones so far.  It was a blast out there catching them and hopefully you enjoy his video.
