Happy thanksgiving too all also! I still would rather get out ice fishing than watch the games. But it doesn’t look good this year. Have a good one everybody!

Happy Thanksgiving, you guys!

No football for me, probably will be watching some Bond movies over in Bemidji at the in-laws.

Oh yeah, and putting the feed bag on, thats for sure!

Later,

I love these fish! The attitude is always fun and they taste great. The strip of y bones can be cut right out with a little effort.    I know where I'll be early in the morning May 13th with topwaters and swimbaits!

Grubens did permits the 2016 season. Fortune bay stopped writing BWCA permits the end of the 2015 season. Sally retired and that ended the permits at the bay.  Some day we will be able to buy permits on line and print them.

The video shown in the link posted above shows most of the fish they're handling going back because they're not ready or too green. The video was from 4/14 so I would bet they are done as that was 1 1/2 weeks ago. Cutfoot was done in less than a week. Cliff will be able to tell you for sure when then finished but I'd guess they were done by the end of last week.
