One Liners...

7 posts in this topic

Okay, Shamrock needs something to read... and so do I...

I need a good line for my signature, but am terribly uncreative. I know... how about this one... The Trout, the whole Trout, and nothing but the Trout, so help me Cod! j/k upnorth grin.gif

Okay, maybe you don't need to help me out, but some of these sayings are pretty funny. While we charge our batteries, organize our gear and wait for ice, let's share some of the best "One Liners" on this post

I fish therefore I am!

Fishing is not a life or death matter, it much more important than that!

A wife and a steady job has ruined many a good fisherman. (that was my old signature)

I have a few different rods. The one i was originally referring to i am using for crankbaits.  i have a jig and worm rod as well. I have mastered the cast, just trying to learn more about leaders. Thanks! Do you recommend i use 17# test for my worm and jig rod?

As far as I know walleyes are native to almost every lake that they are found in up north. Cliff

How do you fish for the cats on open water?

Interesting point, BT.  I think our houses caught one perch this year, and I can't say that I knowingly marked one small one (except for when I was down in the bays on the south side).  I have no doubt that they are still in the lake, but I just ain't seeing any.

Are walleyes even native to vermilion? Pretty much every lake in northeast Minnesota had walleyes introduced to them in the last 50 to 100 years. If walleyes weren't native to vermilion, saugers certainly wouldn't have been native either. Sauger numbers seem to shrink the farther east each lake gets from Rainy Lake.
