Big Turtle/Movil?

2 posts in this topic

Thinking of making several trips up there this winter. Just curious as to how much pressure is typically on Turtle and Movil? Anyone help?

The pressure depends on the access from year to year. It is normal to have a big ice heave right at shore and if nobody puts in the time to knock it down the lake is not hit too hard. I busted it down for 2 years and nobody stopped to help, just drove on by and waved. Drive by it twice a day for work and there is about 15-20 houses that you can see on an average year from cty rd 15.

Good luck,

Leech, my experience exactly, I hated the thing! I'm a Mister Twister Piranha guy, it's a little heavier duty than the green ones but never had trouble with the green ones either over the many years I've used them. I can use a filet knife on those rare occasions we do a shore lunch somewhere.

Be cool if there was such a thing. Being people are getting so much more interest in pout it wouldn't be a bad thing I'd say.

I think some people are obligated to keep what they catch. Me I'll keep fish but not very often at least in the winter. (Not on Mille lacs) Mille lacs you have the chance at catching a trophy sure maybe it would be cool to keep it but for a lot of us letting a trophy go is as good as keeping it at least IMHO.
