Late Goose

Anybody getting ready for late goose season? I should have a decent layout blind just in time for it.

I haven't hardly seen ducks when I make it out towards Hutch, but man are there geese in the refuge lands....

I'd like a crack at a few of them before the year is done...

Yeppers got reservations for the late hunt in rochester already for the 14th. Lots of diver ducks around hutch and litchfield area,,some really big mallards if you can find where they are....good luck hunting

As far as the ducks, is that a recent report? May be out Thursday morning....

Last weekend was dead where I was. Saw one greenhead and that was it. Pathetic.

yeah i've been out goose hunting and have been getting them pretty consistant. There's been bout 2-3 thousand with some snow geese mixed in with them in some of our fields. Been getting a few divers and some mallards also.

Anybody have recent honker success? Are the geese building up with low river levels?

I dont think it is looking too good for Hutchinson area this year for holding birds with the low river water levels.

I drove by Otter and Campbell today and saw maybe 1000 birds. And most of the water was froze. Not good if you ask me. Hopefully they keep some water open.
