Jig and a minnow or a plastic version is what's working for these right now. I've tried leeches, crawlers and spinners baits to a very limited to no success in the past in the fall. Basically you have to mimic what's in the area and that's bait fish. Springtime is a whole different story where just about anything that moves is considered lunch.
