Haven't heard anything lately about the greenie's. Is it getting to cold up there to chase them on the open water?

Due to the cold, many have put their rigs away until next spring. There's still a few heading out on the Red but over all the action has slowed down a lot.

We're just preparing to head out on Lake Winnipeg this morning. Plans are to see if we can locate some walleye and also mark some waypoints for the upcoming hard water season which is fast approaching! grin.gif

If I find anything of interest or worth posting on, I'll make a report...

Most of our fish came on minnows under bobbers. I spooked countless fish with even subtle jigging.

Hey, Here a quick update on actual ice thickness or snow cover on trout. 14 inchs of ice pressure ridge out there. if you are  on a snowmobile if traveling fast on it watch for it. Truck or car i do not recommend on trout with pressure ridge. And yes i have been on the whitefish chain this year in truck. just not on trout. just my 2 cents
