Otter stealth boat stole

4 posts in this topic

I recently had my Otter Stealth duck boat taken along with about 2 dozen decoys, a kayak paddle with yellow ends and my spinning wing decoy pole from a slough on highway 12 just west of Dassel and east of Darwin. The boat is a one of a kind color that was a test color at the time it was made, so there is only one of this color. Reddish brown with no nose covers on either end. It has chew marks on it so if I see it I will know it is the one. Had it on private land and hidden but not enough I guess. It sucks because this is the first year my oldest son was interested in going in the boat with me and now have no equipment. If anyone has seen or knows of someone who has talked about it let me know I want to get my next generation out on the water to learn what we already have had the chance to. thanks a lot Slim mad.gif

That sucks! I can't believe people have the nerve to come onto someone's private land and take stuff- duck boats, decoys, deer stands, etc.

I hunt out of my buddy's Otter Stealth quite often and I'd be ticked off if he sold it. Love that boat!

Just got back from 2 days out of Walleye Retreat. Fishing wasn't on fire, but we ended up with a limit for 5 guys and a nice fish fry. Walleyes were 2:1 over saugers and most were in the 14-15" range. The keeper saugers were 14"-17". We fished in 29 FOW and had steady action throughout the day, with most of it being 10:00-3:00. Biggest walleyes 19 and 23 were 8' off the bottom. As others have posted, we had LOTS of lookers, who would not commit. Hottest bait was a plain red hook for deadstick and a small, gold "Slender Spoon". That caught 70% of the fish. I know others out of the resort struggled, so luck continues to be the variable.

It really slowed down since this warm-up began last week. The fish seem more scattered now. I think they're on the move to deeper haunts. I bet it'll pick up shortly since this is a stable warm front.

Nice work Frank. I look forward to the day that I can say that I am fishing a lake that I fished 30 years ago.
