Friday/Saturday Winds

Looking at the wind forecast for Friday night into Saturday all day...

12-16 MPH N/NE Friday until Saturday morning

then

15-20 MPH NE from 10 am to 10 pm

Is it better to just stay home or can I run a 16 FT aluminum up there.

Sunday looks great - 4-5 mph all day.

That's a good question.

I just checked the wind speeds as well and the forecast you noted matches almost exactly with what I found. It looks like the winds will pick up this afternoon to 10-15mph and last through the night and strengthen slightly tomorrow late morning to 15-20mph. It's a little front moving through - slight chance of rain tonight as well.

Dress warm folks! Tonight will be hardcore if the forecast comes to fruition. But hey, that's what makes it so fun! smirk.gif

I checked Weather Underground and it doesn't look to bad for Saturday night. Usually that website has always been more accurate for me than weather.com for all the fishing trips I take. Here's hoping it holds true this weekend.

Thanks all. FYI I'm located on Frazer Bay on Vermilion. Give a shout out if/when you may be on the water up there. I may give the Pike River Flowage a try tomorrow or Saturday. I'll provide a report if I go. Thanks again.

@Rick G, it's about the questionable link they left. Either something hard is going to popup. Or someone may end up with a virus. Or both!

I sure would like to see your video Curt, but can't seem to get past the error code myself. Hope it was a good one, and always look forward to seeing them..

Thanks Rick G that will be this springs project one thin spray on the top and bottom should be just right. Seems they all have this issue you’d think they’d do somthing about it.

I've got a 9 ah battery ordered in addition to my 5 ah batteries.   I'm thinking I should be in better shape.  But with the ice getting pretty thick I'll be switching to my gas auger soon.

Thanks for the replies I will be getting one today. Poseidon one thing to check is your blade sharpness Last year I thought my drill was getting weak I put new blades on and away I went.  With this open winter they tend to dull faster just an idea. I'm getting about 15 -18 holes per battery in 20 inches of ice also with same set up.

Teach them up in the way they should go. And they will never part from it! Great video!   Mom probably loved the day off too!
