Scary stuff. I pulled that up on wcco's web page also. Picture of the little flat bottom boat, and white caps in the background. Uggg.

Very lucky indeed, I have that exact same cell phone they used for my work cell. I feel far more confident in this phone

knowing that it will still work even if submerged in water.

Watched the story on the local news, jon boat in 30mph winds.

Not a good idea.

I submarined a 14 ft jonboat out on walnut lake a few years back, to much weight in the boat, 3 guys ,big lab, 4 blinds, guns and 60 herters decoys, the nose of the boat went in a big wave, luckily i made it back to shore it sucked pickin all the decoys up with only a punt pole, got the motor started again a few days later, its no fun in november!

Wow that is a little discouraging. Looked at the DNR lake info for the last survey which was done on Big Trout lake in 2011. Not one Laker was caught in any of the test net types! Still shows their stocking them but none showed up. Anyone try it on opener and find any Lakers?

Anyone go out there last weekend for opener? If so how was the ice and the bite? Giving this weekend a thought?

I personally like the cold and dont mind it. But this week is a nice change and prob wont help the ice building much!

I remembered I wrote this question. So I'm replying back. I was lucky enough to have a relative who had a Smith and Wesson Model 66-2 .357 mag (mint condition) that he was willing to part with. I haven't shot it yet. Been busy. Anyway now what recommendations are out there for 38 shells for plinking. I've read about the problems if using to heavy a load. Thanks
