Anyone see KG today?

9 posts in this topic

I was home chillin' today and happened upon the Wolves/Celtics pre-season game on ESPN2. Man was it weird to see KG in a green jersey wearing #5. I still enjoyed watching him play and was more rooting for him than the wolves. I'm hoping we can get something going this year, but I gotta say I would love to see KG in the finals.

It definitely does not look right seeing him in a green jersey and a number other than 21!

I read about it and checked out the box score. Musta been retelevised on ESPN2? Not sure what the time difference is.

Ricky Davis said he almost passed the ball to Garnett because he was so used to doing it. I say it was either that or the ganja.

It sucks, but the Wolfies will see him in the regular season too. Split loyalties for me this year I think, Celts and Wolves.

I am happy for him. I loved watching him, but because of a franchise-worth of dumb moves by the front office.

I would have loved to watch him, but I started to feel sorry for him because there was nowhere to go. We were close with Gugs and Steph but that was it.

I liked what Rosen had to say about that on the news last night. He brought that up and said he thought it was news worthy just because he thought about passing!

it would take some bad injuries to the key guys for that to happen. the cavs made the finals with one star, the celts have three. not only three all stars, but all stars with out rings or attitudes. paul peirce has been the KG of the east for too long now to not get his team to the playoffs. the east is getting better, but who looks better than boston?

Agreed sledneck, I'm tired of hearing "I want Garnett to get his ring" Oh B.S. I'm a Minnesota sports fan, If you don't like it hear get the heck out. Lot of great individual athletes didn't, and wont get their rings. The superstars need to realize that their big contracts eat up alot of potential ability to have a well rounded team. Santana, see ya. Hunter see ya. Others will and have to step up in small market teams. I'ld like to see them all stay but thats not the reality of it all. Man, I got a case of the crabbies today sorry for venting.

Agreed, 25 does seem big for a 12' boat

Make sure you take a couple minutes and look for the rating plate in that boat, if it exists it should be back on or near the transom somewhere. I'd be very careful about hanging a 25 HP motor on a 12 foot boat, as it may not be rated for 25 HP. Some 12's are different than others, more depth, more beam, etc. so the motor ratings can vary. Proceed with caution.

25 hp will be plenty for 12 foot boat with any amount of weight added.  I have no pics, sorry.  As stated really easy to do, your buddy should get er done in under three hours.  Don't spend a lot of money on the boat seats, I bought the cheap ones then added a outdoor chair pad for comfort.

I was out there on opener as well and caught a lot of small fish. Averaged about 30 walleyes a day but nothing bigger than 17". Last weekend the bite was a lot tougher which I would assume was due to the weather.

Has anyone heard of a giant walleye caught on the Saturday of opener?  Sounds like the boat called the DNR and they rushed right out to take pictures, etc. Not sure if it was close to the record or not, but I heard it was a giant.

Was up at Long Point with 5 guys last Thursday PM through Sunday AM. Thursday evening after the wind went down a bit the fishing was great. Ended up getting our limit for the 6 of us that evening. Ate fish that night. Friday and Saturday were slower but still pretty good. A LOT of little ones so we had to sort through them to get some keeper fish. Ended up getting our limits to take home by Saturday afternoon and then the rain started. Very few slot fish, which was a bit of a surprise. Only 4 over 19.5", with 2 at 20, one 22 and the biggest being 25. Jig and a frozen shiner/fathead worked well. No real preference between the two minnows. Jig color didn't seem to matter that much but we had best luck on gold, pink, chartreuse and glow white. Depths we fished were 21-26 feet, pretty much all those depths worked fine. Really fun trip and I look forward to the next one.
