Big Game Registration in NW Metro

3 posts in this topic

Anyone know of any Big Game Registration stations in the NW Metro. I looked on the DNR site and only found the stations from 2006 and there weren't a lot in the NW metro. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll need to find a registration station in the near future.

Most Holiday gas stations can register your deer.

I know that Sportsman's Warehouse in Coon Rapids registers deer... I believe that the Ganders do as well... Cabela's may.. and most Holiday stations do too... just look for the big orange signs.

I crossed over to the dark side of smallies about 15 years ago. Mostly chase pannies in winter but used to chase eyes a few times on the hard water each season.   I could post a ton of pics if you need more proof.

Sorry to make you hold up a bottom feeder, but we needed to see it!

I was up over the weekend and my shoreline was getting pretty sketchy.  Had a pocket of open water down the shore about a 100 yards. Where I could see the bottom in two to three feet of water.  Walked out about a hundred yards and popped four holes Saturday afternoon. There was 17- 18.5"s of ice in those four holes. Looking at the forecast I can't see the ice sticking around too much longer.  The holes I popped had 5-6" of pretty mushy cloudy stuff on top and about 12"s of pretty solid stuff underneath it.
