I dont know if Eagles Nest rents sites or not? it might just be seasonal folks

Corp of Engineers campground is real nice. They do not have full hook-ups, but they have power at each site and a nice dump station by the boat landing. I think they are still open until the end of October, may want to check on that. Real cheap off season, something like $12 a night. I have stayed there probably 1/2 dozen times. I think it is very nice, but you may be looking more for a resort type setting, which this is not.

Day two was a bit different than day one for us.  Much slower mid day resulting 50 fish for the day.  A couple of 23" being the biggest.    ESE wind caused a different approach Today that challenged me a bit.  As well as the river was VERY BUSY today!   Water conditions appeared to stay fantastic as far as current and clarity,  should be a nice week ahead for those coming up.

We have fished both days out of Vidas.

Buddy of mine just drove past the Big and Littlefork rivers on hwy11, said ice bank to bank on both. Even saw fresh tracks from snowmobiles on them. So for whatever that's worth guys and gals.

Took the boat out on Cedar Island today.  Water was 39 and crappie were deep.  Large bay at access was iced over but could hug the shore and make it around.  Otherwise it was mostly open.

Tipups we are between Springsteel and Warroad right now. Still driving trucks and wheelhouses out about 24" of ice.
