agreed jason, 12 hour days including saturdays leave little time to hunt, fish, or answer posts.

times are tough all over, including up nort.

much of my extra time is spent trying to make an extra buck for this winter.

I dont even remember the last time I went out fishing.

this will all change soon enough.

I will have lots of time and very little moolah.

funny, I do find the means to get out on the ice, even if it means sticking close to home.

I will have some positive reports in about 3-4 weeks?

Day two was a bit different than day one for us.  Much slower mid day resulting 50 fish for the day.  A couple of 23" being the biggest.    ESE wind caused a different approach Today that challenged me a bit.  As well as the river was VERY BUSY today!   Water conditions appeared to stay fantastic as far as current and clarity,  should be a nice week ahead for those coming up.

We have fished both days out of Vidas.

Buddy of mine just drove past the Big and Littlefork rivers on hwy11, said ice bank to bank on both. Even saw fresh tracks from snowmobiles on them. So for whatever that's worth guys and gals.

Took the boat out on Cedar Island today.  Water was 39 and crappie were deep.  Large bay at access was iced over but could hug the shore and make it around.  Otherwise it was mostly open.

Tipups we are between Springsteel and Warroad right now. Still driving trucks and wheelhouses out about 24" of ice.
