Mississippi north of sartell dam

Gonna be hitting up the river this weekend, haven't put a line in there since mid summer. Anyone been on it recently having any luck... or know where water temps might be at? I'm hoping the temps have dropped a bit with this recent string of weather.

I was out over the labour day weekend and put a little of everything in the boat: smallmouth, NICE bluegills, catfish, and a limit of eater walleyes. Now I usually don't eat fish from the river, but we have friends come up once a year from Wisconsin over labour day, and on this one occasion per year, we do eat them. Mmmmm, tasty. smile.gif

The panfish have been biting very well past two weeks. I wanna say the water temp was 66 degrees a few days ago.
