Heading up to the Iron Range this weekend, can anyone recommend a nice motel in the Quad Cities area?

What do you mean by nice? What are you looking for and what price range. There are a lot of low end to med end hotels/motels in the Virginia area. Only 2 upper end that I know of.

What part of the range will you be spending most of your time in?

In the 50(or less) buck range near Virginia, have to spend a week north of there on business. By nice I meant well kept. Thanks

I dont know about $50 or less but try the sawmill. Oh the old Holiday Inn is cheap if still open. Next to the Hockey Hall of Shame.

PT73,

I'm on the range as I type this. I just went through Virginia this afternoon and I would suggest that you try the AmericInn in Mt. Iron right on Hwy 53. It sits right next to the Saw Mill bar and restaurant. There are a few other places to grab a bite to eat right next to that.

I'm guessing that they my be a little over the $50.00 range on the weekend but I'm not sure. As I said before it has many other places next to it and looks like a nice place.

Good luck and have a great weekend!!

Well I know many of you are not going to believe me but I went out side (I have no clue why) and looking in the grass and saw what looked like a bunch of small twigs. Well they weren't sticks they were night crawlers! I grabbed a bucket and was able to grab 8 of them that was the first time I've got any for a long time so I missed a lot as I was way too slow went out a few minutes ago and there was none. I got them all around 7pm. Texted buddys and none of them believed me a few pictures turned that around. They all went looking and they found none must have been my area the hot spot maybe? Not really ice fishing related but its the middle of February not july finding some thawed dirt was a bit tricky either froze or mud after digging around I found some good stuff. Hoping the ice holds up and it will be safe for next weekend I'm going to have to try them for gills maybe. I've never used crawlers in the winter any of you? I've still got lots of waxes though. Now I fell I'm rambling but felt I had to share this!
