Current Bite?

4 posts in this topic

Anything new on the current bite? I'll be camping up at Carlos State Park this weekend. Anything happening at Ida, the chain, or Miltona? Hoping to spend a few hours fishing for eyes, panfish, or bass. Thanks for the help!

I have been out on Miltona with some moderate success, 2-3 each time out pulling cranks. Panfish I haven't been targeting them to much lately, I've heard geneva, and leu homedu (never could spell that darn name)have been putting up some nice gills and crappies. Bass are biting almost everywhere. good luck smile.gif

I took Second place in the tournment last weekend! Were fishing on the edge of the weeds with redtails and long snells! You had to weed through the bass but it you found a inside corner or outside point thats where they seemed to be.

Had some good fishing on Saturday with a nice mixed bag of walleyes, pike, and bass. All fish were found tight to the weedlines on the chain and caught on redtails with jigs or lindys. I think the fall bite is just beginning!

Nice thats what I like to hear, was doing an annual trip to LOW with my buddies, but to be quite honest biggest fish I ever saw in 10 plus trips was 27 inches, I caught 3 bigger than that on the pond last year, and hey I can stay in Wright county where I live and catch 10 inch walleyes.. I don't make it up to that end of the lake ever, usually fish the south end..Bought a wheel house this year, would loke to set it up as base camp and hopefully be able to head up toward that end and do some exploring..And thanks for the input, thinking there is a lot of readers and not many writers on this site nowadays...

Lake Marion is completely iced over. Hopefully we won't get much snow and be fishing soon.

Silver lake in New Brighton is iced over. I'm going to count one week before checking thickness on my early ice spots. Could be fishing next Friday if all goes well.
