Walleye bite is coming back strong

on Northern Light Lake (Ontario). Just got back yesterday from a ten day trip to NL Lake. The Walleye bite was great, getting back to where it was a few years back. Caught countless 17" fish, 35' down on pink jigs and minnows. Many boats were portaging over from Sag. for their limits.

Bass fishing was great as well, had a 20" 4 1/2 pound on a surface bait, fun fight!

Pike were hitting the crankbaits on the points.

Trout were still deep, hitting spoons near the bottom at 70 - 75'. Whitefish were also hitting deep like the trout.

Best Labor Day week for the Walleyes in the past four years.

Im glad to see the eyes starting to bounce back up there. Man it was preety lean for about 3 years there. Maybe now I will have to start putting N.L. back on my list of lakes to hit next summer.
